How to Measure

How to measure for your bespoke mac or cape

Five numbers do most of the work. Use a soft tape measure, wear light clothing, and ask someone to help if you can. Keep the tape snug but not tight. Measure in centimetres or inches, and tell us which.

The five measurements

1. Chest

Around the fullest part of the chest, under the arms, tape level.

2. Waist

Around the natural waist, the narrowest point.

3. Hip

Around the fullest part of the hips, feet together.

4. Back length

From the bone at the base of the neck down to where you want the hem to finish.

5. Sleeve

From the shoulder point, over a slightly bent elbow, to the wrist bone.

Also useful

  • Your height
  • Your usual dress or jacket size
  • Shoulder width, across the back from shoulder point to shoulder point
  • For capes, the length you want from the base of the neck

Not sure? Ring us

If anything is unclear, call +44 7771 525615 and we will talk you through it while you hold the tape. A coat made to a measurement you took with us on the phone is far better than one made to a guess.

Send us your measurements

Enter the numbers on the made to measure form along with the style and fabric you would like. We will come back with a price and a realistic date.
